Assigning Entities to Event after Occurrences were Scheduled

If you have created a clinic and blocked your calendar and simulators but they are not appearing on your calendar, go to the navigation menu and click on event management to edit the clinic you have created.

First make sure that you have your entities set. If this is something that you are teaching and it needs to block your calendar, you need to be assigned to the clinic.

If you need the resources to be assigned as well so you have a place to teach, you need to make these assignments.

Make your choices, click the add selected button and that moves the entities over to the assignments section.

Note that these assignments that have been changed will only apply to new occurrences.

Go to your occurrence list and correct your existing occurrence and make those updates at the occurrence level when you click the manage button.

You can see that there are no assignments here.

Make the correction and assign these entities at the occurrence level.

Pick each one of these again and move them over to the right hand side.

Once finished with the assignments, go back to the manage page and you can now see the assignments posted.

This also makes those appear on your calendar view.

Go back to the schedule view and you can now see these assignments.

For each one of these, this software is blocking time, so on the instructor calendar, this prevents customers from booking lessons with you as the instructor and it also prevents simulator rental services to be booked in the simulators during the same time.

To prevent this mistake from happening in the future you will need the initial setup to be correct.

Go back into the navigation and event management.

Edit that clinic once again.

Any time you are going to create new dates for an existing clinic, you should make it a habit to look at your entities tab.

If these are assigned at the entity level on the clinic, then they will be assigned to the new occurrences that you create.

That will prevent this problem from occurring in the future.
