Price Correction on Service
If you have an hourly rate for peak time on your simulator rental and peak pricing for Saturday is $50.00 an hour, and someone booked an appointment for multiple hours on Saturday and the price for the four hour appointment is a $50 flat fee, you will need to use the peak pricing on the pricing tab of your simulator rental service to correct the pricing.
Go to the settings menu, and on the left hand side, go to your services menu and find your simulator rental service and click on edit.
Next, click on peak pricing on the pricing tab.
Here you can see that you have different price rates.
A warning message will appear if you are mixing hourly rates with flat rates.
If you have a $50 flat rate here, which applies on Saturdays, you can edit this to correct that price type.
Change that to an hourly rate and then click the save button.
Once you have made that correction, the warning message goes away because you have consistency with your hourly rate price type.
If the appointment on Saturday that has the $50 flat fee is unpaid, it can be corrected by editing the appointment.
For four hours at $50 an hour, the price should be $200.
Make that correction and click the save button.
Once you have saved that new price tag or corrected the price tag for the appointment, you can then apply a payment for this and charge the full $200.00.
Choose that option.
Click the Go button.
On the apply payment page, you will be able to make choices about the payment type.
This could include a saved credit card.
For this example cash will be used.
Apply the payment.
You now have the correct amount charged for the appointment.
If the appointment has already been paid for, there is an option to apply an additional payment
through the start tab functionality.
Choose that and click the go button, and that is going to start a tab for this customer.
The sim rental here shows this prepaid, so that $50 is not going to be charged again.
You will need to charge the difference.
Add an item to the tab.
And in the miscellaneous folder, if you have an add-on payment product, choose that to charge the difference.
Edit the price to represent the remaining balance due for that appointment that was originally charged at $50.
The customer owes you an additional $150 for the appointment.
You can add notes here if you need to.
Add on payment to the tab and it will appear here.
Next, go through the checkout process to charge the remaining balance, which is $150.
Checkout button puts you on a payment page and you can make some different payment choices here.
You might have a saved credit card you can charge here.
Use a cash payment for this option and charge the remaining $150 here.
Click the accept button to complete the payment process.
