Connecting an Epson Printer to USchedule

1. Preparation:

  •    Ensure the Epson printer is powered on and connected to your network, preferably via Ethernet.
  •    Avoid connecting the printer directly to your PC.
  •    Print a network status sheet from the printer to obtain its IP address and serial number (automatic upon powering on with Ethernet connected).
  •    Keep the printer's serial number ready for later use.

2. Accessing the Printer’s Web Interface:

  •    Open Microsoft Edge or a similar browser for better compatibility.
  •    Enter the printer’s IP address in the browser to access its web interface.
  •    If security prompts arise, click ‘Advanced’ > ‘Continue to the website (unsafe)’.

Please Note: Once you reach this step, with certain printer models, you will be asked to submit a username and password before you are able to access the settings for printer configuration. If this is the case, please enter username "epson" and password as the serial number for the printer itself.

3. Administrator Login:

  •    On the printer’s web interface, navigate to ‘Administrator Login’ (usually top-right).
  •    Log in using the printer's serial number as the password.

4. Configure Printer:

In the admin panel, locate the ‘TMi’ Settings’ or a similar tab.

A. ePOS Device:

  • Disable the ePOS setting.

B. Server Direct Print:

  • Enable the ‘Server Direct Print’ option.
  • For the server URL, insert: https://clients.uschedule.com/[your alias]/home/PrintRequest.
  • Set the interval to 5.
  • Enable URL encode.
  • Use a unique memorable name instead of serial numbers.

C. Notification Status:

  •  Enable this setting.
  •  Modify and paste the URL to: https://clients.uschedule.com/[your alias]/home/printerstatus.
  •  Disable server authentication.
  •  Set the interval to 5.
  •  Enable URL encode.
  •  Use the same name set in Server Direct Print.

5. Apply Changes:

  • Confirm and update the settings by clicking ‘Send’, ‘Save’, or ‘Apply’.
  • Select ‘Restart’ to reboot the printer and apply the new settings.

6. USchedule Configuration:

  • In USchedule, navigate to account options and access the Epson Printer List.
  • Submit your printer names (matching the names in Server Direct Print), separated by commas.
  • Specify the default printer first.

7. Test Printing:

  • Perform a test print from USchedule to confirm setup success.

8. Troubleshooting:

  • Verify network connectivity and settings accuracy if problems arise.
  • Consult the Epson printer’s manual or USchedule’s support for further assistance.
