Creating a Service (Sim Time, Lesson, Etc.)
From the home screen click the menu icon and go to Settings. Click Services in the left sidebar and then click the Add New button. Please note this is a custom name field and may be labeled as Lessons, Tee Times, Rentals, Reservations, Fittings, etc.
In the Name Field add the title of your service. Optionally, you can add an image and short description of your service that will display on the Booking page.
The Lesson Type will allow customers to filter through your Service list.
Add your price in the Fee field.
In the Price Type field, select if the fee will be a Flat Rate, Hourly Rate, or Per Person.
Select if you would like to Include in Tips.
If there is an Additional Per Hour Fee, enter the dollar amount in this field.
If there is a Commission, set the amount in this field, and select whether the Commission Type is a Flat Rate, Percentage, or Per Person.
Choose whether the Service is Taxable.
Add the duration of the service in the Length field, and whether the Length Type is a Fixed Time or Variable Time.
You can use the Payment Options setting to require customers to Pay with Series Only, Pay at Location Only, Pay with Credit Card Only, No Pay with Credit Card, or Payment Required at Booking. If you don't have a preference, leave the Payment Option at Any Available.
Choose if you would like to Require a Saved Credit Card.
If you need time between appointments, you can apply Lead-In Time or Lead-Out Time. Lead-Out time is the most commonly used option. This feature adds time to the END of your appointment. The Start Times field indicates what time slots will be available to book. On the Half Hour means an appointment can be booked on the top of the hour and the half hour.
The Internal Only field is checked only if you do not want the service to be booked or seen by customers, only by employees. An example of this would be a nine hole playing lesson where you also need to book a tee time in addition to the service.
The Resource Only field is used when only booking a resource, not an employee.
The Hide Employee Choice is used if you have more than one bookable employee and you do not want to allow the customer to choose the employee. The employee will be randomly chosen.
The Group Size field is used if the service allows more than one customer to be booked for the service at a time.
Require Note to Book is used when the customer is required to enter requested information in the note field prior to completing the booking.
Show Gender Selection is used when information about the gender of the employee is needed for booking.
Hide Next Available Search: When customers are booking there are two options for searching for availability: By a Specific Date, or Next Available. Selecting this option will hide the Next Available option for booking.
Online Schedule Start sets how close to the appointment time a customer can book.
Online Schedule Max sets how far out a customer can book an appointment.
Cancel Online sets how close to the appointment time a customer can cancel online.
Booking Policy shows your policy for customer bookings.
Booking Limits allows you to choose "Yes," and there will be additional options to select where you can limit the number of times the service can be booked.
Category Filter is used for email marketing to set up categories and send emails based on the category the service is in.
Confirmation Template allows you to send a custom template which overrides your standard confirmation template.
Reminder Template allows you to send a custom template which overrides your standard reminder template.
Cancellation Template allows you to send a custom template which overrides your standard cancellation template.
The Loyalty Points Earned field shows the number of loyalty points that will be earned when the service is booked.
Loyalty Points Cost is the number of loyalty points needed to redeem this item. If you have a buy ten, get one free reward program, this point cost should be 10 times the number of points earned.
After creating a new service, you will need to Save it and click on the Availability tab to add availability for your new service so that it can be booked. You will be prompted to create Employee availability or Resource availability.
Assigning a Membership to this Service will require your customers to have at least one active membership in the Assigned Membership list in order to book this service.
Note: If you need to assign special Pricing that might be available with a membership, click the Pricing tab and define the pricing rules there. A default price for this lesson will be displayed and you will be prompted to click the Add New button if you would like to create new pricing rules for this service. If you do not create new pricing rules, the default price will be used for all appointments.
Assigning an Add On (Club Rental, Bag Storage, etc.) to this Service will require your customers to have at least one active membership in the Assigned Membership list in order to book this Service.
